Sunlight penetrates across the sky, a mother’s smile the child knows why

Shadows spring from distortion it seems savage! mean! consume all things

Then Vestiges of man’s past, those grains of sand through the hourglass

So What’s in a deed for those who die because we don’t feed, we’ll bleed

We intrepid the weak to be imperfect, wouldn’t that be the deed of a serpent

Our illusions build transparent dreams the deafening cries our babies scream

Dead! the passions that once stir our hearts, how did it begin why did it start

Do we call onto the lord or decide the cost of carrying them we can not afford

Death will be their cost denied a ride from blame will hide, we’ve already died.
